Zipper Sizes
Zipper Size 3: Size 3 zippers are commonly used for lightweight clothing items such as skirts, dresses, blouses, and children’s clothing. They have a thinner zipper tape and smaller teeth compared to larger sizes. These zippers are great for delicate fabrics or when you want a more inconspicuous zipper.
Zipper Size 5: Size 5 zippers are considered a medium-sized zipper and are commonly used for a wide range of applications. They are versatile and can be used for various clothing items like pants, jeans, jackets, bags, and even some home décor projects. Size 5 zippers have a slightly wider tape and larger teeth compared to size 3 zippers, making them sturdier and more durable.
Zipper Size 10: Size 10 zippers are the largest available zipper size and are commonly used for heavy-duty applications. They are often found in items like heavy jackets, backpacks, duffel bags, and other items that require a strong and sturdy closure.
Remember, these sizes are just general guidelines, and there can be variations depending on the specific brand or manufacturer. It’s always a good idea to double-check the measurements or consult a professional if you have any doubts.

Zipper Chain
Coil Zippers: Also known as nylon zippers, they consist of interlocking nylon coils. These zippers are flexible, lightweight, and commonly used in apparel, bags, and accessories. To identify a coil zipper, look for the small, continuous coils that form the teeth.
Metal Zippers: These zippers have metal teeth, usually made of brass, aluminum, or nickel. They are durable and often used in jeans, jackets, leather goods, and heavy-duty applications. To identify a metal zipper, check for the metallic teeth and sturdy appearance.
Plastic Zippers: These zippers have teeth made of plastic or polyester resin. They are sturdy, affordable, and commonly used in sportswear, casual garments, and luggage. To identify a plastic molded zipper, observe the plastic teeth, which are often larger and chunkier compared to coil zippers.
Invisible Zippers: They are designed to be discreet and blend into the fabric. These zippers have a narrow tape, and the teeth are located on the backside of the zipper. Invisible zippers are commonly used in dresses, skirts, and formal wear. To identify an invisible zipper, examine the backside of the zipper tape for the hidden teeth.

Open/Close-Ended and Two-Way Zippers
Open-Ended Zippers: Also known as Separating zippers, they are commonly used in jackets, coats, and other garments where the two ends of the zipper completely detach from each other when opened. This type of zipper has a slider mechanism with a built-in mechanism at the bottom that allows the zipper to separate into two halves.
Close-Ended Zippers: Also known as Non-separating zippers, they are commonly used in items like bags, pouches, and other accessories where the two ends of the zipper remain connected even when fully opened. Non-separating zippers are also commonly used in pants or skirts where the zipper is only meant to be opened partially.
Two-Way Zippers: Two-way zippers, also known as double zippers, have two sliders attached to the zipper tape, allowing the zipper to be opened or closed from both sides. This type of zipper provides flexibility and convenience as it allows for easy access from either direction. Two-way zippers are commonly used in items like jackets, sleeping bags, or tents, where the user may need to open or close the zipper from the top or bottom. They can be found in both separating and non-separating variations.
